A secure feeling

My dog and I walk a mile every morning and it’s common for us to encounter dogs off-leash. If one appears threatening all I have to do is trigger a cracking sound with my Zap stick and the dog has so far always run away. I never walk without it.

Zap Cane vs Hike n' strike

Personally, I like the Zap Cane better. Quicker to use in stressful situation. However, the rechargeable battery fails after 7 or 8 years. Bummer. Got the Hike. OK but prefer the Zap Cane. Have friend looking at my cane to see if can replace rechargeable batteries. Wish me luck.
